When/Why did you start CrossFit?
I started CF Summer 2013 because I was 130 pounds but somehow had a little gut from a college diet consisting of beer and cafeteria food.
How has CrossFit changed you?
CrossFit has allowed me to not give a shit about what people think of me. It’s also given me some of my closest friends.
What are your strengths/weaknesses in the gym?
My strengths are that I have fun in the gym regardless of a missed lift, bad day, or whatever the case may be. It makes training less stressful. I suck at moving heavy weight overhead.
What is your favorite WOD?
I like to squat and do pull-ups.

Shadi is the poster boy for what the CFLT community is all about. His smile is infectious, he checks his ego at the door every day and when faced with shoulder surgery recently, he tackled it head on, stayed smart and spends countless hours each day rehabbing. We are very proud of you Shadi for what you’ve become in the gym and more importantly as a young man. Can’t wait to get you back into classes!
