When/Why did you start CrossFit?
I started CrossFit in September 2012. I got involved with CrossFit because of my son Matt and his wife Kelly they had been involved with CrossFit for a couple years they really enjoyed it and they were getting very healthy.
How has CrossFit changed you?
I was sitting behind my desk getting old fat lazy, had high blood pressure, 30 pounds overweight I was just headed down the wrong road so when Matt, Brian, Kelly and Dana started Lower Town, I decided to give it a try. I started off three days a week with C J as my personal trainer, that went on for about two months every day of the first month I wanted to quit. I knew it would get better and I didn’t want to let anybody down including myself so I stuck it out then I became addicted 5 to 6 days a week and I really love it.
What are your strengths/weaknesses in the gym?
Strengths: I really have no strengths, just determination. I have a lot to learn about Olympic lifts but I really enjoy the weights
Weakness: I have many weaknesses but my biggest weakness would be my age. The big 6. 0. but the body goes, just a little slower in my case.
What is your favorite WOD?
My favorite WODS are the chippers.
