Tonya Barker


Tonya’s path to coaching CrossFit has been a natural progression. She started CrossFitting in February of 2011 and became hooked! She liked that she was able to satisfy endurance training with weightlifting and body-weight calisthenics in just one hour. Up until this point, she had a hard time finding time for all of it. As her love of CrossFit (and her time spent at the gym) grew, she knew she wanted to start training others in the discipline so she got her Level 1 CrossFit Certification. According to her, “Working with people, and showing them what they are capable of, is an addiction for me. I love seeing their reaction when they do something they thought they couldn’t do. It’s beyond rewarding.”
