When/Why did you start CrossFit?
I started October 2013 because it looked like fun and I wanted to get in better shape for tennis.
How has CrossFit changed you?
I am in great shape now and enjoy exercising and eating healthy.
What are your strengths/weaknesses in the gym?
Strengths: Cleans and overhead squats
Weakness: Everything!, but especially pull ups, toes to bar, handstand pushups and handstand walks.
What is your favorite WOD?
I like anything with semi light barbell work and wods with overhead squats.
Maddy is a freshman at U of M in Ann Arbor. She may join the rowing team or gymnastics to help improve her weaknesses. “I give all the credit to Plymouth Crossfit Lower Town for getting me in shape to win a state championship in tennis this year.”
Maddy has a younger sister who plays tennis and does sprint triathlons and her little brother plays soccer, football, and wrestles.
Maddy recently completed her first CrossFit competition at the Motor City Summer Open and hit the podium baby!! She finished second in the beginner division!!
